Bookkeeping is the day-to-day recording of your sales, purchases, payments and bank activity. It is part of our Accounting & Bookkeeping service, which we run for Dubai SMEs and free zone companies in cloud software, so your books are current every month and ready for VAT, corporate tax and any audit. Prices start from AED 350 per month (excl. VAT) and depend on how many transactions you have.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Count your transactions

We look at a typical month of bank and invoice activity to see how many transactions you have. This sets your volume band and your fixed monthly price.

  2. Step 2

Set up or tidy your software

We set up cloud software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks or Xero, or clean up the system you already use. We connect bank feeds where your bank supports them.

  3. Step 3

    Clear any backlog

If past months are missing, we rebuild them first from bank statements and the documents you have, so the monthly work starts from complete records.

  4. Step 4

    Monthly bookkeeping

You upload invoices and receipts during the month. We record and reconcile everything and send you a short list of transactions we need explained.

  5. Step 5

    Month-end handover

Each month you get a trial balance and a summary of income, expenses and balances, ready for your VAT return or your accountant.

How bookkeeping pricing works in Dubai

Most bookkeeping firms in Dubai price by transaction volume, and so do we. A transaction is usually a single line on a bank statement, a sales invoice or a supplier bill. A consultancy that issues ten invoices a month needs far less work than a shop with hundreds of card payments a day.

Your fee is fixed each month for your volume band. If your business grows or slows down for more than a short period, we review the band with you rather than sending surprise invoices. Our cost calculator gives you an estimate in a minute.

Our monthly bookkeeping prices

These prices are per month, in AED and excluding 5% VAT. They cover our Accounting & Bookkeeping service, so the same fee also includes management reports and year-end financial statements.

Up to 50 transactions a month: AED 350. 51 to 100 transactions: AED 500. 101 to 200 transactions: AED 750. 201 to 300 transactions: AED 950. 301 to 500 transactions: AED 1,200. Over 500 transactions: custom quote.

If you also take VAT returns and corporate tax with us, a 10% bundle saving applies to the recurring fees.

Catch-up and backlog bookkeeping

Many Dubai companies are set up, start trading and only think about their books when something forces the issue: a VAT registration, a corporate tax return, a bank request or a free zone audit. By then there may be a year or more of unrecorded activity.

Catch-up bookkeeping starts from your bank statements. We rebuild each month in order, match payments to invoices and receipts where you have them, and give you a clear list of what is missing. Where documents cannot be found, we agree a sensible treatment with you and note it. Catch-up work is quoted after a short review of your records.

Your corporate tax return is due within 9 months of the end of your tax period, and you cannot prepare it without accounts. While we catch up, we also check that your company is registered for corporate tax, because late registration carries a penalty of AED 10,000.

Cloud bookkeeping software

We keep your books in cloud software, so you can log in at any time and see the same numbers we do. If you already use Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, Tally or Odoo, we normally work in your system. If you are still on spreadsheets, we help you choose a package and set it up.

Bank feeds bring transactions in automatically, and receipt capture apps let your team photograph a bill instead of keeping paper. That saves time on both sides and means fewer lost documents at the end of the quarter.

The UAE is moving to e-invoicing from 2027, with invoices exchanged as structured data. Clean customer records, consistent item descriptions and correct tax codes in your bookkeeping system now will make that change much easier later.

Why accurate books matter for VAT and corporate tax

Your VAT return is built from your ledgers. Returns are usually quarterly and due by the 28th day after the period ends, so if sales or purchases are coded wrongly, the error goes straight onto the return. Good bookkeeping means each return can be prepared quickly and checked against the ledger.

For corporate tax, your taxable income starts from your accounting profit. If you plan to claim Small Business Relief, your revenue must be AED 3 million or less in the current and all previous tax periods, so you need an accurate revenue figure for every year.

You must keep accounting and tax records for at least 7 years for corporate tax. The general VAT rule is 5 years, and real estate VAT records must be kept for 15 years. Cloud records with attached documents make this simple.

Questions about bookkeeping

How much does bookkeeping cost in Dubai?

Our bookkeeping starts from AED 350 per month (excl. VAT) for up to 50 transactions a month. The price is set by your monthly transaction band, up to AED 1,200 for 301 to 500 transactions, with a custom quote above that.

What counts as a transaction?

Usually each bank statement line, sales invoice or supplier bill counts as one transaction. We agree the definition with you when we quote, so there is no confusion later.

Can you catch up on a year or more of missed bookkeeping?

Yes. We rebuild past months from your bank statements and available documents, then move you onto monthly bookkeeping. Catch-up work is quoted after a short review.

Do I need bookkeeping if I am not VAT registered?

Yes. Every company must register for corporate tax and file a return, even if it claims Small Business Relief. You need proper records to prepare that return and must keep them for at least 7 years.

Which bookkeeping software do you use?

We mostly work in Zoho Books, QuickBooks and Xero, and also support Tally and Odoo. If you already use one of these, we usually keep it.

How do I send you my documents?

Most clients upload invoices and receipts to the accounting software or a shared folder, and give us read-only bank access or monthly statements. You can also send documents by email or WhatsApp.

Is bookkeeping enough, or do I need full accounting?

Bookkeeping is part of our Accounting & Bookkeeping service, so the same monthly fee also covers management reports, year-end financial statements and corporate tax workings.
